A special meeting was held by the Board of Public Safety on Thursday,
December 13, 1962 at 10:30 A.M. All members were present. The following
business was dispensed with:
AWARDING OF BID: POLICE DEPARTMENT (6 POLICE CARS_
After examination of the bids received for the Police Department cars,
the following bid appears to have been the lowest and best bid and is
now awarded:
Freeman Spicer Co.
529 S. Lafayette Blvd.
South Bend, Ind.
1 - 1963 Studebaker Police Marshall 4 Door Station Wagon
5 - 1963 Studebaker Police Marshall 4 Door Sedans
Special Discounted Price on 6 Units $151,614.43
Less Federal Tax on 6 Units 1,318.00
$14,296.43
Less 8.Trade-ins as per specs. _ 2.400.00
Total Net Delivered Price on 6 Cars $11,89� 6.43
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:45 A.M.
