A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
September 24, 1962 at 10:00 A.M. DST. All members were present. Minutes
of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were alproved
and ordered paid to the various suppliers.,
REQUESTS: WILLIAM R. MORRIS ( WOODCREST DRIVE )
Comes now William R. Morris, developer of Chalfant Heights Addition, and
requests that three street lights be installed on Woodcrest Drive, a
newly opened street in the above -mentioned sub -division, and that a
street sign be erected at the entrance to Woodcrest Drive at Twyckenham
Drive.
This request was considered by the Board. The request for street signs``
was referred to Dan Richardson, Street Commissioner and the request for
street lights was referred to Nicholas Horvath, City Electrical Department,
for investigation and recommendation to the Board.
A Petition from Mrs. Don C. Mennucci and other mothers in the vicinity
of Booth Tarkington School was submitted to the Board. These mothers
request police ".>protection for children in the kindergarten of Booth
Tarkington School from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. when children are comine home
from the first session and children are going to the second session.
These children must cross Edison Road at Manchester Drive. This inter-
section has auxiliary police protection during the morning and afternoon
and at noon, but no protection for the kindergarten children.
The petition was referred to the Traffic Engineer for investigation and
recommendation.
PETITION: STREET LIGHt
A Petition for a street light between Kemble and Catalpa on Bruce Street
from residents in the area was submitted to -the Board.
The Petition was referred to the Electril Department for investigation
and recommendation:

Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.`
WEIGHTS & MEASLRES MONTHLY REPORT
A monthly report for the month of August, 1962 from the Department of
Weights & Measures was accepted and ordered placed on file.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARING
-Q hearing on sub -standard structures located at 513-515 Pennsylvania
Avenue was continued for two weeks in accordance with a request from
Mr. Grabarz, Director of the Sub -Standard Division -of the Building
Department. Mr. Virgil Place who is interested in this property requested
a continuance in order to give him sufficient time to investigate the
possibility of bringing the property up to standard.
