A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was.held on Monday,
September 10,, 1962 at MOO A.M. DST, Messrs. Andrysiak add Davies
were present. Minutes of the last -regular meeting were read and
approved. Vouchers -were approved and ordered paid to the various
suppliers.
MODEL ORDINANCE FOR EATING AND DRINKING ESTABLIS WNTS
Mr..Stephen-Molner and Mr. Louis. Keszei appeared before the Board
to submit a copy of a model Ordinance with reference to Eating and
Drinking Establishments.
This Ordinance has been -approved by the State Board of Health and
the Attorney'General's Office as a model Ordinance. The object
is to effect a standardization governing eating and drinking
establishments.

Comes now Mrs. Ermoun Hammock of 134 S. Falcon Street at the direction
of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department! to _,show
cause why she has not -,vacated property located at 134 S. Falcon Street
in compliance with orders issued by the Division of Sub -Standard
Buildings.
Mrs. Hammock stated that she is a widow and resides at the above
address alone and that she is getting some help from the Welfare
Department. She further stated that in Junei 1962 she signed the
property over to the State of Indiana so that she could get additional,
assistance from the Welfare Department for food and lodging, and/oZ pension.
Mr. Grabarz was directed to notify the State concerning this and to
contact the Welfare Department concerning the above case.
Hearing continued until September 24, 1962.
With reference to the property owned by Mr. Joseph J. Binder and
located at 607 N. Wayne Street, Mr. Cook, attorney, appeared for
Mr. Binder and requested a continuance of this hearing in order to
allow sufficient time to obtain figures from the Contractor.
Case continued until September 179 1962.
BIDS FOR DEMOLITION
Mr. Grabarz submitted the results of advertising for bids for the
demolition of property located at 106 S. St. Louis Blvd., and 106*
S. St. Louis Blvd. The following bids were received:

$300.00 with salvage
.600.00 without salvage
B & Q Wrecking..Co.:
$325.00 with salvage
425.00 without salvage
A & J. Wreckina Co.
$325.00 with salvage
400.00 without salvage
Mr. Grabarz requested that this be continued for one week in order
that he may further examine the bids submitted.
Permission granted. Case continued until September 1791962.

Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvsthq Superintendent of
the Electrical Departments the following installations were approveds
1 - 4000 lumen street light at 1615 S. Columbia St.
1 - 4000 lumen street light at 5104 Sunnyfield Place.
STREET FIGHT- QiWAGE REPORTS
St. Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
BUILDING DEPARTMEW. MONrHLY REPORT
The Monthly Report for the month of August, 1962 from the Building
Department was accepted and ordered placed on"file `':

Chief of Police Harman requested permission to send Detedtive Sergeant
Rene DeVolder to the State Mental Health 6onference in Indianapolis#
;Indiana on September 20,: 21 and 22, 1962.

was accepted and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the. Board, the meeting
