A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Friday,
February 9, 1962 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. The following
business was discussed:
AWARDING OF BID - POLICE DEPARTMENT ( 8 CARS)
After examination of the bids, it appearing that the following bid was
the lowest and best bid for the Police Department Sedans, the bid was
so awarded:
Newman & Altman. Inc.
220 E. Jefferson Blvd.
South Bend, Indiana
8 1962 Studebaker V-Y3 8 Cylinder 4 Door Rdans $229388.24
Less Excise Tax and Discount 2,425.28
$19,962.96
Less 4 Trade -!Ins #18, 19, 359 50 3,067.96 _
Net Difference �$16,895.00
There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting
was adjourned at 10:30 A.M.
