PARENT, Mayor COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 September 10, 1980 the Common Council County -City Building Indiana 46601 Dear Members of the Council: The attached resolution is a necessary step that we must perform prior to making application to HUD for the UDAG grant that is associated with the ethanol plant. 219/284 -9742 Because UDAG funds will be used to construct an access road into the facility, and because part of that road will fall within the County, it is necessary for the Common Council to resolve to maintain that portion of the road which falls in the County. In all likelihood we will be pursing the avenue of an- nexation in order to acquire this road and actually make it a part of the City. But for the purposes of the UDAG application we felt that we had to demonstrate our ability and willingness to maintain this road in any eventuality.
