RESOLUTION NO. 838 -80
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROVING THE
AWARD OF ONE NON- PROFIT GROUP GRANT IN EXCESS
OF $5,000.00 FOR REHABILITATION WORM. TO BE
PERFORMED ON THE STRUCTURE AT 525 E. DUBAIL
FUNDED THROUGH THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM, ADMINISTERED BY THE BUREAU OF HOUSING
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No.
5872 -75, passed by the South Bend Comr:on Council on August 11,
1975, all contracts in excess of $5,000.00 must be approved
by the Common Council; and
WHEREAS, a Non - Profit Group Grant for rehabilitation work
under the Community Development Housing Program has exceeded
$5,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana;
1. That approval be granted to the Redevelopment
Commission of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to enter into
a contract in the amount of NINE THOUSAND PTINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY
FOUR DOLLARS ($9,924.00) with RENEW, INCORPORATED OF SAINT JOSEPH
COUNTY for a Non- Profit Group Grant through which they are to
rehabilitate the following property:
Lot Numbered 48 as shown on the recorded
Plat of Henry Studebaker's First Addition
to the City of South Bend, commonly known as
525 E. Dubail
2. That this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and
its approval by the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana.

of a Non - Profit Group Rehabilitation Grant in the amount of $9,924.00 to
Renew, Incorporated to support the cost of Rehabilitation on a home located
at 525 E. Dubail.
Bureau Grant Advisory Board and the Redevelopment Commission recommends that
Renew, Inc. be awarded this grant. Common Council concurrence is requested.
