Organic Resources Facility
2017 Trucking of Belt Pressed Bio-Solids for Land Application
DATE: January 12, 2017
Organic Resources requests the Board of Public Works permission to advertise for
public bids for the 2017 Trucking of Belt Pressed Biosolids for Land Application
contract. The contract for trucking services is for one (1) year. The lowest, responsible
responsive bidder will assist the City of South Bend Organic Resources Facility in its
efforts to supply Biosolids to local farm fields.
Organic Resources is seeking competitive bids for a "Per Truck, Per Hour' price.
The successful bidder for the contract shall be available on an on -call basis between the
hours of 6:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M., Monday through Sunday.
Proposed dates for advertising are as follows:
Friday, January 27, 2017
Friday, February 3, 2017
The City is scheduled to Open Bids on February 14, 2017.
The Division of Utilities Organic Resources Facility will review bids with the intention to
Award on February 14, 2017 or February 28, 2017 to the lowest responsive,
responsible bidder.
The funding source for this contract shall be the Division of Environmental Services,
Organic Resources "Contractual Services Other" account 641-0631-793-63-35.
