Community Health and Resource Festival
SOUTH BEND - The South Bend Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority along with St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center and Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church is happy to be
teaming up to present the annual Community Health and Resource Festival. The festival is
scheduled on Saturday October 27, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
For adults there will be free flu shots (limited supply), healthy food demos, zumba class,
cholesterol, blood pressure and prostate checks, oral screenings, massage therapy, financial
resources, domestic violence advocate and awareness, voter education, and more. Also featured
again is, “Ask a Doctor.”
For Children there will be the following: vision screening, hearing tests, dental exams, the
LaSalle Branch Library, the South Bend Fire Department and face painting. The first 30 kids
receive a prize. Everything mentioned above is FREE.
There will also be a blood drive sponsored by the So. Bend Medical Foundation- for every
person that donates blood $10.00 will be donated to Breast Cancer research or local Breast
Cancer support centers.
