A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 10:60
A.M. on July 8, 1968, with Lloyd S. Taylor and James A. Bickel present.
Mr. Taylor acted as chairman of the meeting.
APPLICATION" FOR -APPOINTMENT AS SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER - DANIEL PAUL CISCHKE
Upon recommendation of Chief of Police Thomas McNaughton, the Board approved
the application of Daniel Paul Cischke as a special police officer.
APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO POLICE DEPARTMENT - DAVID EDWARD WAGGONER
The application of David Edward Waggoner for appointment to the Police De-
partment was filed and referred to the Personnel Department for processing.
APPOINTMENTS TO FIRE DEPARTMENT
Upon the recommendation of Fire Chief Cecil McHenry and due investigation of
the Board, the following appointments were made to the South Bend Fire De-
partment, effective July 8, 1968; and acceptance of said appointees by the Fire-
men's Pension Fund is filed with the Board:
Darlies Lee Jones - 2201 W. Longley Avenue, South Bend, Indiana
Larry L. Campbell - 622 S. 28th Street, South Bend, Indiana
Larry G. Szczpanski - 55071 Berry Street, South Bend, Indiana
Larry F. Lekarczyk - 4630 W. Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana
Greg F. Conery - 1418 W. Dubail Street, South Bend, Indiana
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
Street light outage reports for the period 6/24/68 to 7/5/68 were filed.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad-
journed at 10:55 A.M.
