The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was called to order
at 10:00 A. M. with all members present. The minutes of the previous meeting
were reviewed and a pproved.
APPLICATION AND DECLARATION FOR RETIREMENT OF FIRM EN,-.
Fire Chief McHenry submitted the following names of firemen who wished to retire,
the Board made the motion and seconded same and it was unanimously passed to
approve the following list excluding the number of years listed.
Joseph W. Doran, appointed 7/16/46 and retiring January 22, 1968.
Anthony Gadacz, appointed 1/1/43 and retiring January 16, 1968-
Glenn A. Hess, appointed 8/31/36 and retiring- January 25, 1968
Melvin Hickey, appointed 1/1/46 and retiring Uanuary 27, 1968
Emery Huszar, appointed 7/16/47 and retiring January 27, 1968
Ted Kandzuzewski, appointed 12/1/45 and retiring,- January 25, 1968
Joseph Kasa , appointed 6/8/42, and retiring January 25, 1968
Paul A. Nelson, appointed 6/2/47 and retiring January 25, 1968/
Copies of their application for retirement were riled with their applications
in the vault.
APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT - POLICE DEPARTMENT
The application of Woodrow Turner Miller for the Police Department was filed by
the Board.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
The street light outage reports for the week were filed by the Board.
