The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was called to order
at 10:00 A. M. with members Robert J. DuComb and Lloyd Taylor present. The
minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
RETIREMENT - POLICE OFFICER - JOSEPH R D9AEREPEEL
Detective Sgt. Joseph R. Caenepeel having this date submitted to the Board of Public
Works and Safety his request to retire from the South Bend Police Department for the
reason that he has completed twenty years of service, the Board now acts upon this
request and it is ordered that Detective sgt. Joseph R. Caenepeel be placed upon the
retirement list effective March 27, 1967.
POLICE DEPARTMENT - MONTHLY REPORT
The monthly report for the month of February, 1967 for the Police department was
approved and ordered put on file.
FIRE DEPARTMENT - YEARLY REPORT
THE yearly report of the South Bend Fire Department was approved and ordered put on
file.
SPECIAL POILIU BAND TORRINGTON CCUPANY
A special police bond with an attached name -schedule, date to start March 9, 1967,
was approved. for the Torrington Company.
APPLICATIONS - POLICE DEPARTMENT
Applications for the police department for Melvin Thomas Chrapliwy, .Robert Joseph Deal,
Philip Wayne Stradley and John William Forslund were approved and ordered filed.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
