October 10, 1966
The regular -meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was called to order
at 10:00 A. M. with all members present. The minutes of the previous meeting
were re -ad and approved.
PROMOTION OF FIREMEN ALVIN WROBLEWSKI
Fire Chief McHenry having this date recommended to the Board of Public Safety
the promotion of Fireman Alvin Wroblewski to the rank of Lieutenant and the
Board being duly advised on the premises now does order the promotion of
Alvin Wroblewski to the rank of lieutenant in the South Bend Fire Department
effective October 15, 1966.
TRAFFICE REPORT - CLEM HAZINSKI
Traffic Director, Clem Haznski requested that the following be added to the
minutes of today:
NO LEFT TURN INTO PARKING LOT sign on L.P. on the East side of
Michigan Street of Washington.
No. Left Turn 3PM - 6 PM on Lincoln Way East at approach to Sample St.

The preceding were approved by the Board.
POLICE DEPARTMENT APPLICATIONS
The following applications for the police department were approved and put on
file: Calvin LeRoy Linderman, George Byron Radanovich, Willie Pates. .
FIRE DEPARTMENT - APPLICATIONS
The following applications for the fire department were approved and ordered put
on file: James Michael Dembinski, Richard Carl Lentz , and Eugene Donald
Turczynski.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
The Street light outage reports for the week were approved and ordered filed.
STREET LIGHT PETITIONS DENIED•
The following street light petition were denied by the Board because of lack of
funds at the present time:
The alley next to 1007 St. Louis Blvd., one half block south of St. Vincent St.
The first alley north of Sample Street was re=denied.
The north alley at 425 No. Walsh Street.
The southeast corner of Columbia and Dayton Streets.
Street light at the southwest corner of Bendix and Keller Streets at the
M:..R./Falcon Club.
The Secretary was instructed to write letters to the head name on the.petition
informing these people of the decision of the Board.
STREET LIGHT PETITION APPROVED
A.petition for a street light in the 500 & 600 block of South Albert Street
was approved by the Board.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:00 A. M.
