The Regular meeting of Board of Public Safety was opened at 10:00 A. M. with
members Robert J. DuComb and Lloyd Taylor present. The minutes of the previous'
meeting were read and approved.
STREET LIGHT PETITIONS:
A street light petition signed by Mrs. and Mrs. Pisano and others for a light
at 713 West Lasalle was submitted and filed by the Board and referred to the
Engineering Department for further study and recommendation.
A streetlight petition signed by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burson of 313 Garet
Street and others was submitted for a light at the Alley at 313 Garet. The Board
filed the Petition and referred same to the Engineeeing Department for further
study and recommendation.
TRAFFIC':; SIGNS
Mr. Clem Hazinskii,, Traffic Director, asked that the follwwing be added to the
minutes of the Board
Four no parking signs upon completion of paving in 24008, 2500 Elwood
30 Mile Speed Limit signs on Greenlawn between Wayne and Jefferson.
POLICE DEPARTMENT APPOINTMENTS
Chieg Irvin Hampton Having presenWhe following names as appointments for the
Police Department, Duane Robert Burkhart, David Wayne Fenn, Doin L. Basham,
Donald Euguene Pinkert and David Lee Andrews, and they having satisfactorily
pass all Doctors examinationss and ment&l examinations, the same are hereby
appointed as probationary police officers of the South Bend Police Department
effective September 16, 1966.
POLICE DEPAR=NT APPLICATIOON
The application of Edward Jopep.1i.._ Michalski was accepted for the Police Department
and ordered filed by the Board.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
The Street light outage reports for the week were approved and ordered filed by
the Board.
