The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was opened at
10:00 A. M. with all members present. The minutes of the previous meeting
were read and accepted.
LYR(NOTIONS- FIRE DEPT - BAJDEK, KLIMERMAN AND KROVITCH
Cecil C. McHenry, South Bend Fire Chief, having presented to the Board of
Public Works and.8afety his recommendation that fireman Benedict Bajdek,
Harold Klingerman and George Krovitch be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.,
on the South Bend Fire Department to fill vacancies of such rank.
Said promotions are now hereby -approved and made official by the Board of
Public Works and Safety effective May 1, 1966.
SIGNS - TRAFFIC CONTROL
the following traffic signs were submitted by Traffic Director, Clem Hazinski,
and approved by the Board:
1115 minute" 6 AM - 6 PM signs in front of 702 No. Michigan-:.. St.
0120 MPH" speed limit on V.P. across from 829 Wilber 1120 MPH" speed limit above Snow Route sign at 1051 Wilber.
"30 MPH" speed limit across from 1117 Wilbert,
1130 MPH" above Snow Route sign south of Elwood on Wilber.
Replace the "Yield" signs on Madison & Greenlawn w/stop signs
and posts.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
The street light outage reports were approved and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business . the meeting was adjourned.at 10:45 A. M.
