December 20, 1965
A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
December 20, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes
of the last regular meeting Were read and approved.. No vouchers were
approved for payment.
REPORT; CITY ENG R ( STREET LIGHTS ON LOUISE STREET )
The City Engineer submitted a report concerning a request for two street
Lights on Louise Street between Mishawaka Avenue and Northside Blvd.
At the time of the request, the City Engineer recommended that this
be held in abeyance and that only one light be installed until the
MICA was completed at which time it could be learned what benefit the
YMCA parking lot,building lighting would have on the street.
A recent survey now indicates that an additional street light will be.
required north of Ruskin Street and across from the dairy. Consequently,
it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that an additional
street light be installed at this time.
Following this recommendation, the Board approved such installation.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
INSTAMATION APPROVAL �ZAFF TIC SIGNS
The installation of the following traffic signs was approved by the
Board:
Change the time limit sign at 1125 Beyers Avenue from present 2 hour
limit to 15 minute time limit.
PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE: POLICE DEPARTMENT C MOBILE RADIOS )
Permission was grant6d to place advertisement in the South Bend
Tribune and the Tri-County News for 7 New Mobile Radios for the use
of the Police Department.
Sealed bids will be opened on January 3, 1966.
POLICE DEPARTMENT: MONTHLY REPORT
A Report from the Police Department for the month of November, 1965
was accepted and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:45 A.M.
