HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/22/65 Board of Public Works MinutesNovember 2;�, 1965 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, November 22, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. BUILDING DEPARTMENT: SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS ) Comes now Richard Liszewski, Director of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department, and requests permission to post a house as sub -standard. The property is located at 633 N. Walnut Street and is presently occupied. Permission granted to post residence with reolzest that notification be sent to proper and interested parties. Mrs _Jennie_Lalime.is. owner,._ Mr. Liszewski further reported that property located at 534 N. St. Louis Boulevard is sub -standard and that a representative of the owners George and Ruth Clayton, had contacted his office and requested an extension of t.- 60 days to make necessary repairs. Request granted with stipulation that doors and windows be boarded up. Mr. Liszewski requested permission to post property Elder Street as sub -standard. The property isowned lbya2 Alf and0verine Bolten, and is presently occupied. Permission granted with stipulation that interested parties be notified. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REPORT A Report from the Building Department for the month of October, 1965 was accepted and ordered placed on file. TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATION FolloViing an investigation by Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, of traffic conditions at Linden Avenue at Westwood, Mr. Hazinski recommended that a 30 m.p.h. speed limit sign be installed at this location. The investigation was occasioned by a request of M.r. Anthony Hereseg of 266 Westwood Avenue. The Board approved the installation. APPLICATION POLICE DEPARTMENT The application of Doin LaRue Basham for the Police Department was accepted and ordered placed on file. APPLICATION• FIRE DEPARTMENT An application from Robert Eugene NaVrrocki for the Fire Department was accepted and ordered placed on file. SPECIAL POLICE BONDS ( DREWRY'S ) The following Special Police Bonds for Special Police Officers employed by Drewry's. Ltd. were approved and ordered placed on file. Commissions for these officers were formerly approved, pending receipt of Bonds: John M. Czakany George H. Klowetter Edward J. Hosinski Bud Lambick Joseph Torzewski STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
