March 15, 1965
A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
March 15, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the
last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and
ordered paid to the various suppliers.

The Board of Public Safety having considered the applications of Thomas
Bruce Wroblewski and Edward Michael DerrouCh for appointment to the
Police Department, and such applicts having passed the necessary
examinations for such appointment satisfactorily, and the Board having
been informed on the premises and considered said appointments, it is
now ordered that Thomas Bruce Wroblewski and Edward Michael Derrough
are hereby appointed to the Police Department, effective March 16, 1965.

�. The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and
tS ordered placed on file: Daniel Martin Goralski, Robert Taylor Clark,
Joseph Stephen Markovich.
U SPECIAL POLICE B ND TORRINGT02

A Special Police Bond to cover the following special police who are
presently employed at Torrington Company was submitted to the Board.
This Bond is a blanket bond and will eventually cover all Torrington
Bpecial Police employees.
The Board approved thie Bond and ordered same placed on file.
The employees covered are;
Frank Skibinski
Edward T. Wagnerorski
Frank Sochocki, Jr.
Louis F. Tomshock
cCUPLATN`.e.REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT ( VANDALISTJ ON S. MICHIGAN )
A request for better street lighting at Garst between Michigan & Main
Streets, previously referred to the Electrical Department for investiga-
tion and recommendation was referred to the Engineering Department for
further �izvestigation.
Mr. Radecki, Electrical Department Superintendent, recommended the
installation of a 4000 lumen light at this location.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
POLICE DEPARTI.TNT MONTHLY REPORT
A Report for the month of February, 1965 from the Police Department
,eras accepted and ordered placed on file.
SUB -STANDARD DIVISION
Comes now Richard Lisewski, Sub -Standard Division Supervisor;'and
informed the Board that property located at 135-1.351 E. Ohio Street,
o,,med by James Griffin, is in very poor condition and that repair orders
have not been complied with.
T?Ir. Lisewski requested permission to post the building as sub -standard.
Permission granted.

Mr. Lisewski submitted a progress report on property located at 19U7
S. Lafayette Boulevard, owned by Russell and Marjorie Bryant and/or
Mrs. Minnie Kinch.
This property is sub-standard,and repair orders have not been complied
with.
Mr. Lisewski requested permission to post building and take bids for
demolition.
Permission granted.
With reference to property owned by Lottie King,'located at 234 E.
Sample Street, Mr. Lisewski advised the Board that an extension granted
Mrs. King had expired.
Mr. Lisewski was directed by the Board to contact Mrs. King and advise
her of this situation.
Case continued until March 22, 1965.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:35 A.M.
