There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned at 12:10 P.M.

SPECIAL MEETING - August 20, 1969
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held at 7:30
P.M., on August 20, 1969. Present were Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer,
and S. J. Crumpacker, City Attorney. Also present was John Worley of Clyde
E. Williams & Associates, Inc., consulting engineers.
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3296 CONFIRMED - GERTRUDE STREET
For the improvement of Gertrude Street, from Ewing to Prairie, by construct-
ing a Class C pavement with curbs.
After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised
in the premises, and proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and
the Tri County News on August 1 and August 8, 1969, having been found
sufficient, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be
assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as
reported by the City Civil Engineer, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Board that
Improvement Resolution No. 3296, passed on July 28,-1969, for said improvement
i,s hereby in all things confirmed and the improvement ordered made.
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3297 CONFIRMED - HAWTHORNE DRIVE
For the improvement of Hawthorne Drive, from McKinley Drive, from McKinley
Drive to Colfax Avenue, by constructing a Class C pavement with curb repair.
After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised
in the premises, and proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and
the Tri County News on August l and August 8, 1969, having been found
sufficient, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be
assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the -same as
reported by the City Civil Engineer, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Board
that Improvement Resolution No. 3297, passed on July 28, 1969, for said im-
provement is hereby in all things confirmed and the .improvement ordered made.
