A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held at 7:30
P.M. on July 23, 1969. Present were Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer, and
S. J. Crumpacker, City Attorney. Also present was John Worley of Clyde E.
Williams & Associates, Inc., consulting engineer.
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3294 CONFIRMED - ALLEY 200 BLOCK N. NOTRE DAME
For the improvement of the alley in the 200 block of North Notre Dame
Avenue, from Notre Dame Avenue to St. Peter Street, by constructing a
Class C, Type I pavement.
This being the date set for hearing remonstrances, proofs of publication in
the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on July 3 and July 11, 1969,
were tendered by the Clerk and found to be sufficient; and no one having
appeared either for or -against said improvement, the Board, being fully
advised in the premises decides that the benefits to the property liable
to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the
same as reported by the City Engineer. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the
Board that Improvement Resolution No. 3294, duly passed on June 30, 1969,
for said improvement is hereby in all things confirmed and the improvement
ordered made.
HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL (CONTINUED FROM JUL'Y 21, 1969)
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0. 3247 - S. CARLISLE STREET
For the improvement of South Carlisle Street, from Prairie Avenue to Indiana
Avenue, by constructing a Class C pavement with curb repair.
Hearing on the assessment roll having been continued from July 21, 1969, is
now resumed. After hearing -all interested parties, upon motion made, seconded
and carried, the hearing is further continued until July 28, 1969, at 9:30
A.M.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad-
journed at 8:50 P.M.
