A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held at
11:30 A.M., on June 19, 1969,`with all members present.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish the rates to be charged in
the off street municipal parking structures commonly referred to as the
"Off -Street Parking Project 1969."
Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following
Resolution was adopted:
"RESOLUTION NO. 6-19-69
"WHEREAS, Chapter 190, Acts of 1955 of the
Indiana General Assembly provides the`Board of Public
Works with the power, subject to approval.of the Council,
to fix the rates and charges to be collected for the
parking of vehicles of any off-street parking facility,

"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board
of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend
that fees for parking in the off-street parking
facilities to be constructed under the name of "Off -Street
Parking Project 1969" be established at the rate of
thirty-five cents (350 for the first hour, or portion.
thereof, fifteen cents -050 each additional hour, or
portion thereof, with a maximum charge for single parking
of ninety-five cents . (950 .
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said off-street
parking facility shall remain open each business day from
the hours of 6:00 A.M. until midnight. local time.
"Adopted this 19th day of June, 1969.
