Special Meeting - May 6, 1969
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at
2:00 P.M., on May 6, 1969. Members present were Lloyd S. Taylor and James
A. Bickel.
The purpose of the meeting was to meet with potential bidders on the con-
struction of two off street parking structures to be located, one at the
southeast corner of N. Main and W. Colfax Avenue, and the other at the
northwest corner of S. St. Joseph -Street and.E. Jefferson Boulevard, as
advertised in the South Behd Tribune and the Tri County News on April
18 and April 25, 1969, for bids to be received Thursday, May 8, 1969,
at 2:00 P.M.
Also present at the meeting were Forrest West, Building Commissioner,
Donald McElfresh and Andrew Bober, representing T. Y. Lin and Associates,
consulting engineers, and approximately 20 persons representing contractors
interested in bidding on the projects.
Questions were answered regarding the plans and specifications.
The Board acted to issue an addendum to the "Notice to Bidders" extending the
bid due date from May 8, 1969, to May 20, 1969, at 2:00 P.M.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:00 P.M.
