Special Meeting - April 28, 1969
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held at
9:30 A.M., with all members present.
Also present were Chief.of Police Thomas H. McNaughton and Police Officer .
Cullen Walton.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider charges filed against Officer
Cullen Walton by Chief of Police Thomas H. McNaughton that he "did on
the 15th day of April, 1969, violate Regulation 4.22 of the General Rules
and Regulations for the Police Department of the City of South Bend,
Indiana."
The chair was turned over to City Attorney S. J. Crumpacker who con-
ducted the meeting. The charges were read aloud to Officer Walton.
Officer Walton pleaded "guilty" to the charges filed against him and asked
for a hearing.
Hearing was set for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 2, 1969.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad-
journed at 9:40 A.M.
