A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:00
A.M., with all members present.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION
Having been reported to the Board that the structure at 1005-1007 S. Carroll
Street, also known as Lot 6, except 10 feet from the north side of Hutchins
Addition, is in a dangerous and precarious condition due to several fires,
the last of which occurred May 10, 1971, and that the public safety and
welfare is found to be endangered by this structure and that the owner of
said structure, Richard B. Brimmer, whose wife is deceased, having signed
an agreement permitting the City of South Bend to demolish such structure,
the Board now finds that an emergency exists and orders the Sub -Standard
Building Department to obtain three quotations for the demolition of said
structure and to award the demolition on the basis of the lowest and best
quotation.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad-
journed at 9:10 A.M.
