04/05/72 Board of Public Works Special Meeting Minutes
1264 April 5, 1972 A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was convened at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 5, 1972. All imembers,of the Board were present. The meeting was convened`for the purpose'of hearing charges against William Vessele Stoynoff. Also present were Robert M. Parker and Lewis Laderer, Attorneys for the'City, and the ©efendent in person and by his Attorney, Irving J. Smith. Attorney Smith asked to be heard, and leave was granted. Attorney Smith entered a plea of guilty to Counts 1, 2, 3 and 4, and respect- fully requested consideration from the Board In assessing penalty. Attorney Parker made a statement on charges of the City. The Board on the recommendation of Police Chief Robert Seals, assesses penalty as six months suspension without pay,'from Februaryr6, 1972, and places Corporal Stoynoff on probation for a period of two years from the day he is reinstated on the duty roster. This was done by a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried.
