HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/28/72 Board of Public Works Special Meeting Minutes.. w . 25 r_4 2f� w Ll 1 March 28, 1972 A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was convened on Tuesday, March 28, 1972 at 9:30 A.M. Present were Charles A. Sweeney, Jr., City Attorney, Chairman of the Board; William J. Richardson, City Engineer and James V, Barcome, City Controller. Also present were Chief Robert Seals, Attorney Irving J. Smith and Robert Parker for the City of South Bend, and William Vessele Stoynoff. The meeting was called to hear charges against Corporal William Vessele Stoynoff. Comes now Irving J. Smith, Attorney for Corporal Stoynoff, and presents the following petition: MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND BEFORE THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY IN THE MATTER OF William Vessele Stoynoff PETITION COMES NOW, Wiliiam.Vessele Stoynoff, and requests the Board of Public Works and Safety: 1. That the City of -South -Bend produce copies of any and all documents and subject matter involved In the pending action, including the evidence of documents, statements, identity and whereabouts of persons having any knowledge of this matter, and said information having been given to the Board, the Chief of Police, or any of his subordinate officers, of any matters Involved In this cause, including the personal file of said William Vessele Stoynoff since the time of his appointment to the South Bend P611ce Department, and all items contained therein. 2. That the .City of South Bend produce a list of any and all witnesses to be used in said hearing against the said William Vessele Stoynoff, and that same be made available to the said William Vesseile Stoynoff at an adequate time before said hearing in order to give him the opportunity of proper preparation. s/ William Vessele Stoynoff. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the above petition was taken uder advisement with a ruling to be made Eater this week. A hearing on the charges against Corporal William Vessele Stoynoif was set for Wednesday, April 5, 1972 at 9:30 A.M.
