SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 28, 1973
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 3:00 p.m, on
Friday, December 28, 1973 with Mr. Farrand and Mr. Barcome present.
ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT FOR CIVIC CENTER DEVELOPMENT FUND AND RECEIPT OF GIFTS
The Board received and signed an addendum to the Agreement of December 27, 1971
for the establishment of a Civic Center Development Donation Fund. The addendum
modified Paragrpah 6 from a committed use within five years, or an expiration
of December 27, 1976 to a commitment of three years, with an expiration of
December 27, 1974.
A second donation of $50,000 from the Muessei-Ellison Foundation, for deposit
in the Civic Center Development Donation Fund, was accepted by the Board.
The Board received an anonymous gift of $25,000 for the purpose of constructing
the facility housing the Art Center and Exhibition Center.
The Board acknowledged receipt of $45,000 on December 29, 1972 from the Stanley
A. and Flora P. Clark Memorial Community Trust Foundation for the express purpose
of assisting in constructing the facility for the housing of the Art Center
and Exhibition Gallery.
The Board received a donation of $87,000 from the Stanley A. and Flora P. Clark
Memorial Community Trust Foundation for the express purpose of assisting in
constructing the facility for the housing of the Art Center and Exhibition
Gallery.
Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 3:20 p.m.
