JULY 13, 1973
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened by Chairman Rollin
E. Farrand on Friday, July 13, 1973 at 11:15 a.m. with all members present.
The Board received a request from Mr. Thomas Sopko for permission to hold a
Block Party in the 1300 Block of East Monroe Street on Saturday, July 14th, 1973
from 6:00 to 12:00 p.m. Mr. Clem Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic
and Lighting, recommended to the Board that approval be given. This Block Party
has been held in previous years with no problems. Upon motion made, seconded
and carried, the Board accepted the recommendation and gave approval for the
Block Party. Mr. Hazinski was directed to notify the Police Department and
order the necessary barricades. 0
Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 11:20 a.m.
