SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 27, 1975
A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
11:15 a.m, on Tuesday, May 27, 1975 with Mr. Farrand and Mr.
Barcome present.
APPROVAL OF REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS BUREAU OF POLICE
Requests to advertise for bids for Bureau of Police Equipment
were submitted to the Board by Chief John H. Walsh, along with
a recommendation from Michael D.. Carrington, Director of Public
Safety that the Police Department had received money from a federal
grant for this equipment and that he would like the Board to
advertise for bids as soon as possible.
Bid advertisement was requested for an Automatic Search Reproducer,
a Portable Alarm System -and a Closed ;Circuit Television Monitoring
System for the City Jail Facility. Detailed specifications were
submitted with the bid requests.
Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request
and directed the Clerk to advertise for bids on the 30th of May and
the 6th of June, with sealed bids to be received on Monday, June 9,
1975 at the regular meeting of the Board.
APPLICATION FOR RIVER BEND PLAZA APPROVED
The Board received an application from Sportsman Paradise to
operate a display booth:on River Bend Plaza on May 28 and 29 in
connection with the Boat Show._ The application had the favorable
recommendation of Louis Wilcox, Director of River Bend Plaza. Upon
motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, upon
motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 11:20 a.m.
