DECEMBER 9, 1974
AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TEAMSTERS
AND THE BUREAU OF WASTEWATER APPROVED
An amendment to the.Memorandum of Understanding between the Teamsters
and the Bureau of Wastewater covering vacation schedules and the
salary schedule was submitted to the Board with the recommendation
of the City Attorney that the amendment be approved. Upon motion
made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the amendment.
LEASE AGREEMENT TABLED
The Board received a lease agreement for the rental of city -owned
property at 743 Western Avenue. The lease is a one-year lease
between the City.of South Bend and Doyle and Jimmye Rodeman, with a
yearly rental of $2,040.00. The lease extends until November 30,
1975 and can be terminated upon sixty days written notice by either
party. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the lease was tabled
until December 16 and was referred to Mr. Farrand for review.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adourned at 10:15 a.m.

SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER. 10, 1974
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 1974 by Chairman Rollin Farrand
with all members present.
CONTRACT WITH ARCHITECT FOR CIVIC CENTER REAFFIRMED
Mr. Farrand made the following motion: "Resolved that the Board of
Public Works reaffirm the acceptance of the contract entered into
on May 25, 1973 between the Civic Center Authority and Johnson-Burgee
Architect and that all acts are retroactively confirmed, ratified
and approved. The motion was seconded and unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion
made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:35 a.m.
