HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/10/74 Board of Public Works Special Meeting MinutesREGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 9, 1974 AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TEAMSTERS AND THE BUREAU OF WASTEWATER APPROVED An amendment to the.Memorandum of Understanding between the Teamsters and the Bureau of Wastewater covering vacation schedules and the salary schedule was submitted to the Board with the recommendation of the City Attorney that the amendment be approved. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the amendment. LEASE AGREEMENT TABLED The Board received a lease agreement for the rental of city -owned property at 743 Western Avenue. The lease is a one-year lease between the City.of South Bend and Doyle and Jimmye Rodeman, with a yearly rental of $2,040.00. The lease extends until November 30, 1975 and can be terminated upon sixty days written notice by either party. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the lease was tabled until December 16 and was referred to Mr. Farrand for review. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adourned at 10:15 a.m. o lin E. Farrand ATTEST: CLERK SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER. 10, 1974 A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 1974 by Chairman Rollin Farrand with all members present. CONTRACT WITH ARCHITECT FOR CIVIC CENTER REAFFIRMED Mr. Farrand made the following motion: "Resolved that the Board of Public Works reaffirm the acceptance of the contract entered into on May 25, 1973 between the Civic Center Authority and Johnson-Burgee Architect and that all acts are retroactively confirmed, ratified and approved. The motion was seconded and unanimously carried. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:35 a.m.
