SPECIAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 24, 1976
A__sp_eei_al meeting of the Board of :Public Works was convened at
11:20 a.m, on Friday, .September 24, 1976 with Rollin E. Farrand,
Thomas J. Brunner, Jr. and Peter H. Mullen present.
AGREEMENTS SIGNED - TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO 36.4
The purpose of this special meeting was to sign the agreements
between the City .of South Bend and the Teamsters Local Union No. 364.
This agreement applies to the following departments: City Cemeteries,
MSF Garage - Building Maintenance, Park Department, Sanitation,.
Solid Waste, Street, Traffic and Lighting, Waste Water Treatment
and Water Works. It was noted that the Board is signing for all
departments except the Park Department. The Board of Park
Commissioners will sign for the Park Department. Paula Auburn,
Personnel Director, was present and said the contracts area
result of the renegotiation of the Teamsters contract. This is a
three year contract, with the exception of the fiscal part of the
contract which is year to year. Mr. Brunner made.a motion that ;
the contract as submitted and reviewed by the Department of Law
be accepted and signed. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion
made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
In the absence of Patricia DeClercq, Clerk of..the Board of Public
Works, I, Maryrose Putz, am assuming all responsibility for the
Board of Public Works meeting for September 24, 1976.
