A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
3:50 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 1976 by President Rollin
E. Farrand with Mr. Farrand and Mr Pullen present.
BLOCK PARTY APPROVED - 1900 IRV`INGTON ON SEPTEMBER 5
The Board received a request from James Dowey, 1906 Irvington,
to close the 1900 block of Irvington, just off Woodmont Drive,
from 3:30 p.m. to midnight on Sunday, September 5, 1976 for a
Block Party: Ralph Wadzinski reviewed the request and advised
the Board that the street dead ends at the end of this block
and the closing would cause no problems. The Police Department
concurs. Mr. Dowey was advised -of the requirement to post
a Certificate of Insurance with the Board. Upon motion made by
Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved
the Block Party, subject to the filing of the required Certificate
of Insurance.
