The Board of Public Works regular meeting agenda for November 22nd includes two
requests to advertise for the receipt of bids related to masonry and roof work on the
Newman Center property and identifies the River East TIF as the funding source for
each. This memo is to confirm that funding. Under the Development Agreement dated
September 29, 2016, the Redevelopment Commission conveyed the Newman Center
property to Armory LLC and committed up to $586,000 of TIF revenues to complete
certain improvements furthering the company's redevelopment of the property, including
roof, masonry, and fagade improvements. Thus, beginning the bidding process at the
Board's November 22nd meeting is appropriate for advancing the project as
contemplated in the Development Agreement.
