SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 21, 1975
A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
8:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 1975 with Mr. Farrand and
Mr-. Seitz in attendance.
APPROVAL OF TAG DAYS-EMMANUEL CHURCH OF DELIVERANCE
Notification was received from the Charitable Solicitations
Commission that a permit had been granted to the Emmanuel Church
of Deliverance for a fund drive. Upon motion made, seconded
and carried, theBoard approved August 29 and 30 as 'TTag Days"
for the Emmanuel Church of Deliverance to solicit funds on the
City sidewalks.
APPROVAL TO CLOSE WASHINGTON STREET SUNDAY, AUGUST 24 FOR A CONCERT
The LaSalle Athletic and Action Program, Inc. requested permission
from the Board to close West Washington Street, between Dundee and
Falcon Street, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on
Sunday, August 24, 1975. A concert is being sponsored at this time
in LaSalle Park in memory of Dean A. Johnson. Ralph....Wadzi.ns.ki.,,-Assistant
Managdr.of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reviewed the request
and reported to the Board that he had discussed the matter with Captain
Sweitzer of the Police Department. Traffic Detail and they concur that
approval can be given. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the
Board approved the request to close West Washington, between Dundee
and Falcon from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 1975.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, upon
motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adj.ourndd at 8:20 a.m.
