SPECIAL MEETING JULY 22, 1975
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 1975 by Chairman Rollin E. Farrand
with Mr. Farrand and Mr. Barcome:present.
REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REMODELING OF CELL BLOCK AT
CITY JAIL APPROVED
Mr. Farrand presented a Notice to Bidders and requested permission
to advertise for bids for the remodeling of the cell block at the
City Jail, 701 W.Sample Street. Upon motion made, seconded and
carried, the Board approved the request and directed the Clerk to
advertise for bids on July 25 and August 1 with sealed bids to be
received on August 4, 1975.
OPEN AIR STAND LICENSE APPROVED
Mr. Frank Smith submitted to the Board an application for an Open
Air Stand License at Miami and Ireland Road. Mr. Smith has
permission of the owner of a service station at that location to
sell from his property and intends to sell Mexican curios. Upon
motion made,seconded and carried, the Board approved the Open
Air Stand License.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 2:10 p.m.
