A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
9:00 a.m, on Friday, June 22, 1984, by Mr. Richard L. Hill,
with Mr. Hill and Mr. Michael L. Vance present. Board President
John E. Leszczynski was not in attendance. Also present was
Assistant City Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer.
PURCHASE OF TORRINGTON BUILDING AND RELATED MATTERS
Mr. Hill advised that this special meeting of the Board was.
being convened in order to discuss the purchase of the
Torrington building, acceptance of the gift of land and the
sale of land and building.
Assistant City Attorney Eugenia S. Schwartz advised the Board
that at this time the above referred to matters are still in the
process of being discussed with final details.to be worked out.
She further advised that it is anticipated that the details of
this matter will finalized by 4:00 p.m. this date and recommended
that the Board recess until that time. 'Mr. Hill stated that in
addition to the above three items, the matter of a Petition for
Waiver of Taxes would be discussed.
Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Vance and
carried, this special meeting of the Board was recessed until
4:00 p.m. this date.
NOTE: Because details to the above referred matter were
still being discussed and not yet ready for Board
action, the Board's recessed session scheduled for
4:00 p.m. was cancelled.
