This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 9 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated July 26, 2016. <br />Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />PART 1— BASIC SERVICES <br />A1.01 Project Scope <br />The proposed project consists of re -striping Jefferson Boulevard to establish one travel lane and a bike lane <br />in each direction along with a center left turn lane from Eddy Street to Logan Street. The layout and design <br />for this area will utilize the "complete streets" philosophies as a guide. Existing left turn lanes at signalized <br />intersections will be maintained. Any signal adjustments required will be performed by the City. <br />The project will be bid in two divisions. Division A will include hydrodemo of existing striping and <br />Division B will including thermoplastic striping. The base bid for each will include the road from Eddy <br />Street to Ironwood Road and an alternate will be provided in each Division from Ironwood Road to Logan <br />Street. New signs will likely be required to identify the bike lane. Quotes will be solicited for the work <br />from companies approved by the City. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The scope of services proposed herein includes the survey, design and development of bid documents for <br />the project. When requested, Engineer shall submit detailed scope and fees for defined tasks to a <br />representative of the Board of Public Works for approval. Services for this project are expected to generally <br />include the following items. <br />A1.02 Preliminary Design Phase <br />A. After acceptance by Owner of the Report and any other deliverables, selection by Owner of a <br />recommended solution and indication of any specific modifications or changes in the scope, <br />extent, character, or design requirements of the Project desired by Owner, and upon written <br />authorization from Owner, Engineer shall: <br />1. Prepare Preliminary Design Phase documents consisting of construction documents (60% <br />- including final design criteria, preliminary drawings, outline specifications, and written <br />descriptions of the Project). <br />Provide necessary field surveys and topographic and utility mapping for design purposes. <br />Utility mapping will be based upon information obtained from utility owners. <br />(Exhibit A— Engineer's Services) <br />EJCDC E-500 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services <br />Copyright © 2008 National Society of Professional Engineers for EJCDC.
