Klosinski, Assistant City Engineer SUBJECT: Agenda Request Form — Amendment to Professional Services Agreement Project No. 114-053: Wastewater Treatment Plant Secondary Treatment Improvements DATE: July 19, 2016 The Department of Environmental Services (DES) is requesting the Board of Public Works approval of an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement for Project No. 114-053 Wastewater Treatment Plant Secondary Treatment Improvements with Arcadis U.S. This Amendment includes the addition of design services to design a slab for the Aeration Gallery Tunnel which will carry vehicle traffic and extend walkway space, and detail safety handrail improvements along the Aeration Gallery walkway. Refer to Amendment for details. In addition to the above design services, the Amendment also provides compensation to the Engineers of Record for the review of substitution requests made by the General Contractor. The substitution requests were evaluated at the request of the General Contractor and the Division of Utilities. It should be noted that some of the costs associated with this work may be applied as a deductive change order to the Construction Contract which requires the General Contractor to cover the costs for the review of Substitution Requests. This will be addressed with the General Contractor through a future Change Order. Refer to Amendment for details. The increase to the subject amendment will increase the contract by $37,620.00. The primary funding sources for this work will be Utilities, Wastewater Engineering (Account Number 641-0630-793-31-02).
