<br />motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT "ST MARGARET'S
<br />HOUSE WINTER WALK - 2007"
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and
<br />Lighting, Police Department, Engineering, Park Department and the City Attorney's
<br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Kathryn Schneider, St. Margaret's
<br />' House, 117 North Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referenced walk
<br />on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT "KEY BANK SK RUN &
<br />WALK SALMON CHASE"
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and
<br />Lighting, Police Department, Engineering, Park Department and the City Attorney's
<br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Kimberly Sult, Madison Foundation,
<br />403 East Madison, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referenced event on
<br />Saturday, September 15, 2007, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE ASTREET -WASHINGTON
<br />STREET BETWEEN MICHIGAN AND ST. JOSEPH - U.S. ARMY TAILGATE
<br />PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and
<br />Lighting, Police Department, Engineering and the City Attorney's office, in reference to
<br />a request submitted by Ms. Lisa Malin, Hall of Fame, 111 South St. Joseph Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana to close the above referenced street in conjunction with their event on
<br />November 18, 2006, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks,
<br />' seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />RELEASE OF EASEMENT -PROPERTY AT STATE ROAD 933 & DARDEN ROAD
<br />-NEW WALGREEN'S DRUG STORE
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above
<br />referenced easement was approved, subject to the relocation, replacement and dedication
<br />of a new easement of the sewer connection at their expense. This easement is for the
<br />construction of a new Walgreen's Drug Store at the corner of State Road 933 and Darden
<br />Road. The City does not have a sewer or water main in the easement but there is a
<br />private sewer tap and a 2 inch water line. The developer is aware of the sewer and water
<br />lines and will move them into the proposed easement during construction of the new
<br />building.
<br />APPROVAL OF REVOCABLE PERMIT -TEMPORARY PARKING SPOTS IN
<br />FRONT OF 129 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET - WNIT TV
<br />Mr. Gilot stated a Revocable Permit has been received for the purpose of allowing
<br />temporary parking in front of 129 South Michigan Street for the purpose of filming a
<br />television spot. The encroachment shall remain in the right-of--way until the time as the
<br />Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend shall determine that such encroachment
<br />is in any way impairing or interfering with the highway or with the free and safe flow of
<br />traffic. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the
<br />Revocable Permit was approved.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO
<br />REMONSTRATE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT_OF CITY COMPACT FEES
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of
<br />Right to remonstrate as submitted by Pastor Herb Buwalda, Jr., Clay United Methodist
<br />Church, 17646 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana. The Consent indicates that in
<br />consideration for permission to tap into public sanitary sewer and water system of the
<br />City, to provide sanitary sewer and water service to 52886 Ironwood Road, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, (Key # 002-2016-0332), Clay United Methodist Church waives and releases any
<br />and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the
<br />
