CHARTER AGREEMENT <br />OF THE <br />SOUTH BEND - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING <br />CONSORTIUM <br />This Charter Agreement is By and Between the County of St. Joseph and the City <br />of South Bend, pursuant to the Authority granted by Section 18 -5 -1 at seq. of <br />the Indiana Code, i.e. Interlocal Cooperation Act. <br />Now, therefore, it is mutually agreed as follows: <br />1. The participating jurisdictions hereby create the <br />South Bend - St. Joseph County Employment and Training <br />Consortium, hereafter Consortium, a joint venture between <br />the City of South Bend and St. Joseph County. <br />2. The Consortium shall exist in perpetuity, subject however <br />to dissolution by Agreement of the governing bodies of <br />the participating jurisdictions. <br />3. The Consortium is created for the purpose of providing <br />employment and training services in accord with the <br />provisions of the Comprehensive Employment and Training <br />Act of 1978, as Amended, to eligible residents with the <br />geographical boundaries of St. Joseph County including <br />the City of South Bend. <br />
