RESOLUTION NO. r A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING COUNCIL PRESIDENT LEWIS A. MCGANN FOR HIS PROMPT AND COURAGEOUS ACTION TO SAVE THE LIFE OF AN INDIVIDUAL ON OCTOBER 26, 1981 WHEREAS, on October 26, 1981, an individual fell victim to a cardiac arrest while in the presence of President McGann, and WHEREAS, President McGann took immediate action to administer CPR to the individual as well as to notify South Bend Paramedics of the emergency; and WHEREAS, because of the efforts of President McGann, Corinne Wroblewski, Democratic Clerk of the Board of Voter Registration for St. Joseph County, is alive today. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, commends Lewis A. McGann, President of the South Bend Common Council for his courageous action in saving the life of Corinne Wroblewski, Democratic Clerk of the Board of Voter Regist- ration for St. Joseph County on October 26,1981. SECTION II. The Common Council believes that the action taken by President McGann in an emergency situation, exemplifies his great dedication to save life, and symbolizes the highest degree of humanity possible. SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor.
