Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot seconded'by Mr. Inks and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND /OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that bricks left ' over after the demolition of the Studebaker Museum ("Bricks") are unfit for the purpose for which they were intended and are no longer needed by the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the Bricks are worthless as that term is defined in I.C. 5-22-22-6(b); and WHEREAS, I.C. 5-22-22-1 permits and establishes procedures for the disposal of personal property which is either unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and no longer needed by the City or which is worthless. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND that the Bricks are no longer needed by the City, are unfit for the purposes for which they were intended, have an estimated value of less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), and are valued at less than the estimated cost of the sale and transportation of the property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said items may be demolished or junked or otherwise disposed of. Adopted this 9`h day of October 2006. Jacob, Clerk APPROVE TITLE SHEET - LAFAYETTE FALLS, SECTION V Mr. Gilot advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. APPROVAL OF PERMIT IN RECOGNITION OF ENCROACHMENT UPON CITY- CONTROLLED PROPERTY - 511 EAST COLFAX Mr. Gilot noted the building at 511 East Colfax may extend into the right-of--way of East Colfax Avenue, and the Permit entitles the Grantee to an encroachment upon the property. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Encroachment was approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following traffic control devices were approved: ' NEW INSTALLATION: Handicapped Accessible Parking Space Signs LOCATION: 114 North Notre Dame Avenue REMARKS: All Criteria Has Been Met NEW INSTALLATION: Handicapped Accessible Parking Space Signs LOCATION: 1625 South Taylor REMARKS: All Criteria Has Been Met The following request for a Traffic Control Device will be addressed in the re-convened meeting of October 10, 2006.
