JO-GVVV-Ll1Ua VUAL yr ..aa a-v .. ..LL a..... ... <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot seconded'by Mr. Inks and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON <br />DISPOSAL <br />OF UNFIT AND /OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that bricks left <br />' over after the demolition of the Studebaker Museum ("Bricks") are unfit for the purpose <br />for which they were intended and are no longer needed by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the Bricks <br />are worthless as that term is defined in I.C. 5-22-22-6(b); and <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 5-22-22-1 permits and establishes procedures for the disposal of <br />personal property which is either unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and no <br />longer needed by the City or which is worthless. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND that the Bricks are no longer needed by the <br />City, are unfit for the purposes for which they were intended, have an estimated value of <br />less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), and are valued at less than the estimated cost <br />of the sale and transportation of the property. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said items may be demolished or junked or <br />otherwise disposed of. <br />Adopted this 9`h day of October 2006. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />' s/Gary Gilot <br />s/Donald Inks <br />ATTEST: <br />s/Angela K. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - LAFAYETTE FALLS, SECTION V <br />Mr. Gilot advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being <br />presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. <br />APPROVAL OF PERMIT IN RECOGNITION OF ENCROACHMENT UPON CITY- <br />CONTROLLED PROPERTY - 511 EAST COLFAX <br />Mr. Gilot noted the building at 511 East Colfax may extend into the right-of--way of East <br />Colfax Avenue, and the Permit entitles the Grantee to an encroachment upon the <br />property. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br />Encroachment was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following <br />traffic control devices were approved: <br />' NEW INSTALLATION: Handicapped Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />LOCATION: 114 North Notre Dame Avenue <br />REMARKS: All Criteria Has Been Met <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicapped Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />LOCATION: 1625 South Taylor <br />REMARKS: All Criteria Has Been Met <br />The following request for a Traffic Control Device will be addressed in the re-convened <br />meeting of October 10, 2006. <br />
