REGULAR MEETING MAY 22, 2006 ! 6 <br />Board, may exchange or transfer property with one another upon terms and conditions <br />agreed upon by the two (2), entities as evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical <br />resolutions of each entity; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission, at its meeting of May 19, 2006, adopted a <br />resolution substantially identical to this one transferring the Real Property from the City <br />of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment (the "Commission Resolution") to the <br />Board on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana that: <br />1. The transfer of the Real Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />and described at Exhibit A for the sum of Ten and 00/100 Dollars ($10.00), by <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment to the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana shall be, and hereby is, accepted, subject to the terms of the <br />Commission Resolution. <br />2. That upon receipt of fully executed quitclaim deed to the Real Property <br />from Commission, the Clerk of the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana is hereby authorized and directed to cause the recording of said <br />quitclaim deed in the Office of the St. Joseph County Recorder. <br />3. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF PERMANENT ENCROACHMENT EASEMENT -BILLBOARD - <br />SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET <br />Mr. Inks stated the above referenced Easement for the installation of signage in the public <br />right of way along Michigan, Street (Parcel No. 23-1025-1444) by Barclay Corporation <br />was being presented for'approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the Easement was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF IRREVOCABLE PERMIT -RECOGNITION OF ENCROACHMENT <br />UPON CITY-CONTROLLED PROPERTY <br />Mr. Shawn Peterson, Legal, submitted the above referenced Irrevocable Permit on East <br />Washington near the intersection of Washington Avenue acid College Street, which real <br />estate has been improved by a building (MTI Building). Manufacturing Technology, Inc. <br />is the owner of the property. The City of South Bend is willing to allow the continuation <br />of the Encroachment. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and <br />carried, the Irrevocable Permit was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following <br />traffic control device was approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicapped Reserved Parking Signs <br />LOCATION: 301 South LaPorte <br />REMARKS: All Criteria Has Been Met <br />
