<br />AWARD BID - 2006 NEIGHBORHOOD STREET LIGHTING PROGRAM -
<br />MONROE STREET FROM SUNNYSIDE AVENUE TO TWYCKENHAM DRIVE
<br />AND SUNNYSIDE AVENUE BETWEEN MONROE STREET AND SOUTH STREET
<br />- PROJECT NO. 106-012 (GENERAL FUND)
<br />~1s. I hia Vawrter, Engineering, advised the Board that on April 20, 2006, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Ms.
<br />Vaw~ter recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Trans Tech Electric, in the amount of $63,885.00. Therefore, Mr.
<br />Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as
<br />outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried. ,
<br />AWARD BID -RAW SEWAGE PUMP DRIVE REPLACEMENT -PROJECT NO.
<br />106-003 (SEWAGE WORKS)
<br />Mr. Patrick Henthorn, Environmental Services, advised the Board that on April 10, 2006,
<br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those
<br />bids, Mr: Henthorn recommends that the Board award the contract to Underground Pipe
<br />& Valve, Inc. 1100 Prairie Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, the amount of $654,810.00.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.

<br />Mr. Thomas Bodnar, Legal, advised the Board that on April 10, 2006, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Bodnar
<br />rccommends that the Board award the contract to Mr. Paul Read, Sr. the amount of
<br />$1,000.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and
<br />the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -FIVE
<br />(~) MURE UR LESS, DUMP BODIES MOUNTED ON TANDEM AXLE CHASSIS
<br />(2006 APPROVED VEHICLE CAPITAL BUDGET)
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Matt Chlebowski, Equipment Services, requested permission ,
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment for the Division of
<br />Wastewater. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and
<br />carried, the above request was approved.
