Once the rehab <br />is completed, the building and grounds will <br />be transferred to the University of Notre <br />Dame. <br /> <br />CRN.2592 <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />OMMISSION APPROVED ESOLUTION O <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />WW-CD <br />EST ASHINGTONHAPIN EVELOPMENT <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2592 <br />A.(HC) <br />REA ANSEL ENTER <br />related to acquisition of property in the West <br />Washington-Chapin Development Area. <br />(Hansel Center) <br /> <br /> <br />(2) Resolution No. 2593 approving and <br />accepting a counter offer for the <br />acquisition of property in the West <br />Washington-Chapin Development Area. <br />(Hansel Center) <br /> <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that the University of <br />Notre Dame has made a counter offer of <br />$83,415.64 for Hansel Center. The offer <br />covers the $70,000 owed by South Bend <br />Heritage Foundation on its Community <br />Foundation loan and $13,415.64 owed in <br />back taxes. Staff recommends accepting the <br />counter offer. <br /> <br />The purchase of the building and grounds is <br />contingent on negotiation of a mutually <br />agreeable contract between the Commission <br />and Notre Dame outlining the details of the <br />work expected by each party and terms of <br />transfer of the building and grounds to Notre <br />Dame. <br /> <br />Mr. Inks noted that the back taxes went <br /> 4 <br /> <br />
