Broden, Regina Williams Preston, John <br />Voorde, Oliver Davis <br />Kareemah Fowler, Alkeyna Aldridge, Kathleen <br />Cekanski - Farrand, Adriana Rodriguez <br />Bill No. 18 -16 — Addressing Social Media and <br />Networking Policy <br />Chairperson Tim Scott called the meeting to order with one item to address. Chairperson Scott <br />went on to explain the bill as a repeal of an ordinance passed one year prior. He asked Council if <br />they had questions concerning the bill. <br />Councilmember Dave Varner clarified that this ordinance removes Council oversight of <br />member's social media pages and as result what members post to their page is at their own <br />discretion. <br />Chairperson Tim Scott confirmed that is correct and opened discussion up to the public. <br />There was no one to speak in favor or opposition of the bill. <br />Councilmember Dave Varner made a motion to send to Council favorably as proposed. <br />Councilmember Karen White seconded the motion which carried by a vote of three (3) ayes. <br />Chairperson Tim Scott thanked all in attendance and made an announcement regarding <br />upcoming iPad training. <br />With no further business before the committee, Chairperson Tim Scott adjourned the meeting at <br />4:04 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Tim Scott, Chairperson <br />
