>, <br />,i ~ ~~. <br />I~~- ±,~ <br />~1 ~1 ` ~ UTILITIES COMMITTEE <br />Chairperson Oliver Davis called the July 13, 2009 meeting of the Utilities Committee to <br />order at 3:49 p.m. <br />The following Committee Members were present: <br />Al "Buddy" Kirsits; Ann Puzzello <br />Other Councilmember's Present: Derek Dieter; David Varner; Henry Davis; Timothy A. <br />Rouse; Karen White <br />Other's Present: Mayor Luecke; Jack Dillon; Gary Gilot; Rita Kopala; Jeff Parrot; <br />Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand; Martha Lewis; Kim Thompson <br />Agenda: Bill No. 47-09 -Amend Code -Inflow to Sanitary Sewer System <br />Bill No. 47-09 as explained by Jack Dillon, the Director of the Waste Water Treatment <br />Plant, was meant to amend South Bend's relevant codes. These changes were required <br />by the Environmental Protection Agency to keep in compliance with clear water inputs to <br />the sewer system. This would keep current the city's National Pollutant Discharge <br />Permit. <br />After brief discussion a motion to send favorably was made by Councilmember Puzzello, <br />seconded by Councilmember Kirsits, and agreed to by all. <br />There being no further business to come before the committee, Chairperson Rouse <br />adjourned the meeting at 4:00 p.m. <br />
