SUBSTITUTE BILL~(U ORDINANCE N0. U D,~~~~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND MAKING TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS TO ORDINANCE N0. 8623-95 OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ADDRESSING SALARIES OF EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The Common Council determines that it is necessary to make certain technical corrections to Ordinance No. 8623-95 of the South Bend Common Council addressing salaries of employees of the City of South Bend. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS: Section I. Section II of Ordinance No. 8623-95 of the South Bend Common Council shall be and hereby is amended to correct the maximum annual compensation for the following position: 1997 1998 Ordinance Violations $20,970 $23,000 Bureau Clerk Section II. Ordinance No. 8623-95 of the South Bend Common Council shall be and hereby is amended to add the following positions: 1998 Coordinator II - Events $22,575 Coordinator III - Events $23,575 Inventory Control Technician II $23,088 Research and Planning Assistant $27,000 Section III. Section II (b) of Ordinance No. 8623-95 as amended by Ordinance 9720-96, shall be and hereby is amended to set forth a schedule of the hourly rate of pay for each position in Section I: 1997 1998 Ordinance Violations Bureau Clerk $10.08 $11.06 Coordinator II - Events $10.85 Coordinator III - Events $11.33 Inventory Control Technician II $11.10 Research and Planning Assistant $12.98 Section IV.
