Once the rehab <br />is completed, the building and grounds will <br />be transfen-ed to the University of Notre <br />Dame. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously can-ied, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2592 <br />related to acquisition of proper-ty in the West <br />Washington-Chapin Development Area. <br />(Hansel Center) <br />(2) Resolution No. 2593 approving and <br />accepting a counter offer for the <br />acquisition of property in the West <br />Washington-Chapin Development Area. <br />(Hansel Center) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that the University of <br />Notre Dame has made a counter offer of <br />$83,415.64 for Hansel Center. The offer <br />covers the $70,000 owed by South Bend <br />Heritage Foundation on its Community <br />Foundation loan and S 13,415.64 owed in <br />back taxes. Staff recommends accepting the <br />counter offer. <br />The purchase of the building and grounds is <br />contingent on negotiation of a mutually <br />agreeable contract between the Commission <br />and Notre Dame outlining the details of the <br />work expected by each party and teens of <br />transfer of the building and grounds to Notre <br />Dame. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the back taxes went <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2592 <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />WEST WASHINGTON-CHAPIN DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA.
