It is the first four-year wage and benefit package to <br />Fourth District be ratified by our police officers in the history of our police <br /> department. <br />David Varner <br />Fifth District <br />Some of the new concepts which are recommended include: <br />Andrew Ujdak * A NEW "5th Shift" which will work from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. to <br />sixth District provide better officer coverage of the City and will enhance Individual officer <br /> safety. This shift will be added to the afternoon, midnight and detective bureau <br /> (nights) as the type of detail receiving shift premiums. <br />Sean Coleman <br />At Large * NEW Seniority-Shift Incentive Premium Pays for afternoon, <br />John Hosinski midnights, and the 5th shifts which will pay additional dollars to police officers <br />At Large who have eight (8) years of seniority or more or are above the rank of corporal. <br /> It is the City s belief that this type of Incentive may foster a better mix of sensor <br />Rod Sniadecki officers with the younger men and women working those shifts. <br />At Large <br />* NEW Critical Duty Day Stipends are recommended for six (6) <br />Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand days selected in each calendar year where due to the type of activities scheduled <br />council Attorney in the City require the Uniform Division to be working. There will no longer be <br /> holiday nay for every member of the department. Police officers who are <br /> scheduled to work a designated critical duty day and be available in uniform will <br /> receive a stipend of $150.00. <br /> * ANEW Wellness and Fitness Program is recommended to be <br /> established by September 15, 2000. Qualifying police officers would be <br /> entitled to a ten percent (10%) reduction of his or her monthly insurance <br /> premium for meeting overall health and life fitness standards with such <br />
