No. 2383 contracting the boundaries of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area

WHEREAS, consistent with the Act, the Commission has previously caused to be prepared certain maps and plats of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area, and has supplemented • said maps and plats of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area by causing to be prepared additional maps and plats depicting the West Washington-Chapin Development Area and Reduction Areas No. 2 and No. 3; and WHEREAS, said maps and plats of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area and Reduction Areas No. 1, 2 and 3 show the boundaries of said areas, the location of the various parcels of property, streets, alleys and other features affecting the acquisition, clearance, replatting, replanning, rezoning or redevelopment of said areas and parts of the areas that are to be devoted to public ways, levees, sewerage, parks, parks, playgrounds and other public purposes under the plan for redevelopment of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area as modified herein; and WHEREAS, the West Washington-Chapin Development Area as reduced by Reduction Areas No. 1, 2 and 3 shall hereinafter be referred to as the "West Washington Chapin Development Area"; and WHEREAS, the Development Plan for the West Washington-Chapin Development Area (the "Development Plan") as adopted by Resolution No. 818 was amended by Resolution No. 990 adopted on May 10, 1991, and was further amended by Resolution No. 1243 adopted on May 6, 1994, and was further amended by Resolution No. 1399 adopted on January 2, 1996, and was further amended by Resolution No. 1436 on July 3, 1996 and said Resolutions No. 990, 1243, 1399 and 1436 modifying the list of parcels to be acquired by adding parcels to the list, and was further amended by Resolution 2000 adopted October 3, 2003; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1243 further amended the Development Plan by modifying the section of the Development Plan addressing the membership ofthe West Washington-Chapin Design Review Committee; and WHEREAS, there was presented to this meeting of the Commission for its consideration and approval a proposed amendment to the West Washington-Chapin Development Area Development Plan which said amendment is consistent with the contraction of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area to exclude Reduction Areas No. 1, 2 and 3, from the Area; and WHEREAS, the Development Plan as amended herein is entitled the West Washington- ChapinDevelopment Area Development Plan dated October 19, 2007 and, the Development Plan as amended herein shall be hereinafter referenced as the Development Plan; and WHEREAS, the Development Plan has been revised consistent with the proposed amendment herein and has been considered by the Commission at its meeting; and WHEREAS, the Development Plan as amended consists of a typewritten document comprised of ~ ~ pages (including all exhibits and appendixes) and is as set forth at Exhibit D; and •
